David Cohen announces candidacy for San Jose City Council

David Cohen is excited to announce that he is running for San Jose City Council!

San Jose is at the center of so much progress in California. As the technology industry has grown, so has our city. David has been fortunate to experience this growth as an engineer working in Silicon Valley.

As a father, a long-time resident of our community and a Berryessa School Board member, David sees the challenges that go hand-in-hand with progress. Traffic has worsened, we need more affordable housing, and we must reinvest in public services to keep our neighborhoods clean and safe. Our neighborhoods and our families deserve a proven leader who, through listening and collaborative leadership, will deliver effective solutions to San Jose.

That’s why David Cohen is running to be your voice on the City Council. As a representative for District 4, he will bring his proven track record of delivering for our community and an open-door leadership approach to City Hall.

A campaign is built on people as much as the candidate, and so he is asking that you to help him run for City Council. The support that you give to him will go toward creating a stronger voice for you.

David has lived in District 4, Berryessa area for over two decades with his wife and their 2 kids, Mia and Reed, both products of the Berryessa Union School District.

Follow his campaign on Facebook. And save the date for my campaign kickoff featuring Assemblymember Kansen Chu.

David and Team Cohen is thankful for the early support we've received from key leaders in our district, including

State Senator Jim Beall, State Controller Betty Yee, Former Congressman Mike Honda, 8 Current and Former Berryessa School Board Trustees, East Side Board Trustees J. Manuel Herrera and Lorena Chavez, and dozens of community leaders. Join them and add your name to our growing list here!

In Community Spirit,

Team Cohen

A word from David:

"I truly love this community and I'm thankful for the opportunities we've had to be able to serve our neighborhoods. I hope to gain your support to continue doing so as our district's next Council Member." - David Cohen
